What I did:
1. Ran Mozilla 2000092220
2. Typed "yahoo.com" into the URL box and hit <return>. Page appeared.
3. Disconnected, using Control Strip's Remote Access module.
4. Hit <return> in the URL box. Also tried Reload button.
5. Reconnected using Control Strip.
6. Gave New Navigator command and typed "amazon.com" in the new URL box
and hit <return>.
What happened:
Nothing, except that the logo cycled.
What was expected:
First, the status line should have reported that it was looking up
or contacting the host. Then it should have invoked Open Transport
and a Remote Access Status alert should have appeared saying it was
dialing. Then the URL in te box should have changed to a full
URL, and the correct page should have appeared.
I've reproduced it several times in a row (same machine, without rebooting)
by quitting and relaunching Mozilla. I also get the same behavior if I visit
mozilla.org, disconnect, and click on a link.
I obtained a MacsBug StdLog around Step 5, using the programmer's
interrupt button.

Just some additional info here. All you have to do is:
1. Start the program.
2. Go to some URL of your choice.
3. Let the Mac go into it's "hard sleep" mode. (This is the mode where the
power button pulses and you can't wake it up using the mouse. Only hitting a
key will wake it up.)
4. Wake it up by hitting a key
5. Type in a new URL and hit enter, nothing happens.
6. Now click in the url bar and hit "enter" you get the undetermined progress
meter and the throbbing logo forever.

Is this remote access only?
I do not see it in 2001011504 with Airport connection and MacOS9.

I observed the problem with Remote Access. Never saw it with an Ethernet
connection. Never tried it with Airport.
I'm seeing this too mac os 9.1 remote access
Mozilla won't reconnect to network after a modem hangup, have to reboot Mozilla.
mac trunk build 2001032008
It either that or a DNS bug that seems to be fixed on my DNS_BRANCH. I'll take
this and close it when I land the branch.
