Also please make sure it's not a fault of your mouse driver. Looks like multiple events are fired with a middle click.
No its not problem with mouse driver since it works fine with internet explorer.Even few of my friends are facing the same problem.
The problem exists even when opened in the safe mode.
Which mouse are you using and do you and your friends have any customized handling of this button? Have you seen the same with Firefox 3.5.x?
Its samsung optical mouse. No we are not using any customized handling.from recent few versions of Mozilla i am facing it.previously it was working fine.
Which exact version of Firefox you have used when it was working for you? If it regressed in a 3.5.x build can you do us the favor and check when it appeared the first time for you?
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.3a2pre) Gecko/20100218 Minefield/3.7a2pre This works for me. Reporter, can you please test in Safe Mode http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes and check if an extension is the cause of the mentioned issue.
