I imported a certain ICS event exported from the XING (xing.com) platform and noticed that it makes Lightning views freeze. They react to clicks, Thunderbird mail views are also okay, but Lightning views are not updated anymore until application restart. The event itself is not imported.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import the attached ICAL file (menu "Events and tasks" - "Import...")
2. Nothing seems to happen (no error or success mesage)
3. Switch views (day, week, month, several) or switch date in any view
4. Calendar view is never updated until next Thunderbird restart
Actual Results:
Event not imported, Lightning views frozen
Expected Results:
Event imported correctly, Lightning works as usual

Small correction: This was not an export from XING, but from gotomeeting.com. XING ICS import works for the same event.

It seems the calendar is not valid ICS since it is not encoded in UTF8. See the following bug for more information.
