BUILD: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.17) Gecko/2009122116 Firefox/3.0.17 ADD-ON: Google Shortcuts 1.8.4 When updating Firefox with outdated add-ons and FIPS enabled, FIPS preempts the Add-on Update dialog. In other words, the Add-on Update dialog appears and the FIPS password dialog immediately appears on top. Once you enter your password, Firefox starts without updating the add-on. The add-on can be updated after using the Add-on Manager. STR: 1. Start Firefox 3.0.17 using a clean profile 2. Install an outdated addon (ex. Google Shortcuts 1.8.4) 3. After restarting Firefox, go to Preferences > Security, check "use a master password" 4. Set a master password 5. Still in the Preferences dialog, go to Advanced > Encryption > Security Devices and click Enable FIPS 6. Close the Preferences dialog and Check for Updates 7. Install the update to 3.5.7 (entering your master password when prompted to do so) and restart Firefox RESULT: Once Firefox is restarted, the Add-on Update dialog appears with the FIPS password dialog on top. Entering your password dismisses both dialogs and starts Firefox; Firefox does not check for Add-on updates. EXPECTED: Once entering the FIPS password, Firefox should continue to check for Add-on updates.
