When you close the application and later go to execute it, an error stating that Firefox is already running on this computer appears. Task Manager shows the process running and has to be terminated manually.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch FireFox
2.Close FireFox
3.Launch FIreFox
Vista Enterprise with Service Pack 2
64-bit, 6 GB Memory, Intel Core2, 6600 @ 2.40GHz

Do you use the Ghostery addon? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9609
If so this is a known issue with the addon. Please disable it and report the issue to the extension author.

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

You can also try to reproduce in Firefox 4 Beta 8 or later, there are many improvements in the new version, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
