User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100203 BetterPrivacy-1.47 Minefield/3.7a1pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100203 Minefield/3.7a1pre ID:20100203081257 If certain CPU-heavy content is loaded via plug-in in one tab and an attempt is make to load a page in another tab, the browser interface becomes mostly unresponsive. Some operations (such as: opening a new tab, closing tabs, and typing in the address and search bars) remain possible, but the browser is not really usable until the new tab is closed. I am able to reproduce the following pages: http://timheuer.com/silverlight/bouncingplane/ http://www.cbc.ca/video/#/Shows/The_Passionate_Eye/ID=1396085855 I am running a 933 MHz P3 -- something to bear in mind if you have trouble reproducing; however, I do not experience this problem with IPC plugins disabled. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure you have Silverlight 3.x installed. 2. Visit: http://timheuer.com/silverlight/bouncingplane/ HANG TYPE I: 3. Open a new tab, and enter a URL to visit 4. Result: the page does not load, the browser interface is mostly hung. You can still click and type in the search and address bars; however, the browser is unresponsive to most other input. 5. Notice, however, that you can open new tabs (by clicking the new tab button) without issue 6. Close the new tab from Step 3, including all tabs opened after it. Result: browser is again responsive (may take a few seconds). HANG TYPE II: 7. Again open a new tab and enter a URL to visit. Browser is again mostly hung. 8. Middle-click to close the "BouncingPlane" tab. 9. Result: browser remains just as unresponsive and associated mozilla-runtime process continues to consume CPU. 10. Once more, notice that you can freely open new tabs, without issue. 11. Kill the associated mozilla-runtime process. Browser is now repsonsive. THE EXCEPTION: 12. Configure startup for: "Show my windows and tabs from last time" 13. Visit: http://timheuer.com/silverlight/bouncingplane/ 14. Restart the browser. 15. Open a new tab, and enter a URL to visit 16. Notice now that the page loads and the browser remains responsive.

I'm seeing this too. It starting happening last week or something. I had to turn off OOPC to be able to run my browser.
