I have installed thunderbird 3.0 on Windows 7(64). Could print my emails fine for the first three days, now all that happens is the printer spits out blank pages. Also tried other printers on same home network, with same result. Is there a setting I have to change?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to print any e-mail from any folder in Thunderbird
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Printer "receives" file to print but a blank page results. Print to file results in an error message. Print to Adobe Acrobat (version 8) creates a blank pdf file.
Thunderbird does print on a new desktop(64 bit) that came with Windows 7 and an older laptop (64 bit) that we upgraded to Windows 7. That's why it may be a setting on mine.

So how about you give us the error message that you are seeing ?
Did you change something, like a os update , an add-on install ?

There is no error message -- TB thinks it successfully sends to (whichever one I designate) a printer, but nothing emerges, only blank paper. Same result if I "print" from Acrobat 8.
This began after I upgraded the OS to Windows 7 home premium, switching to the 64 bit mode, which essentially wipes the disk first. The latest version of TB 3 was a clean install, and TB is set to automatically update itself.
A laptop that was also upgraded to Win 7 at the same time, changed to 64 bit, and had a clean install of TB 3 also, has no problems printing.

as bad as this sounds, it doesn't read like a problem caused by thunderbird - especially if it worked initially. Do you still see the problem?
If you do, please try a new profile http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Profiles (don't delete your default profile)

This bug still is consistently present, to the point that I'm considering abandoning Thunderbird, and warning others about it. I will try generating a new profile for you.

therefore, I believe this problem is NOT caused by or solvable by thunderbird.
