The Sun Java test page reports that Java is not working after automatically accepting the update for Firefox, now Namoroka.
You can also check chessgames, com, which uses Java applets for games.
Java works in Opera, same system.
PS. I am using Linux Mint 8 for x-64, an Ubuntu clone, on a HP Pavilion laptop with an AMD Turion processor.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to java.com test page.
2.
3.
Expected Results:
Java reports that it is not working.
This happened only after the update transformed Firefox into Namoroka.
Display a screen that says: Your Java is working, like Opera does.

No, Java is not listed now.
But it was working before the update to Namoroka.

Do you have a symlink to the java plugin in Firefox plugin directory ?
(symlink to which file ?)
>This happened only after the update transformed Firefox into Namoroka.
Which Firefox version ?

Well, the Firefox version is the latest Namoroka.
This has already been detected above:
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.2pre)
Gecko/20100205 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Namoroka/3.6.2pre
Regarding the symlink, please elaborate: where is the Firefox plugin directory and which file should it link to?
Please bear in mind that I have an x-64 system, I think that the problem lies there.
Thanks.
