I guess that the scroll bar is non-traditional in the middle to scroll the frame....

don't know if this is a feature or a bug.

That's just the way Google Maps work - the scrollbar is from the window on the left hand side (the driving directions). You can also see that the left hand side is a different window by the slight color difference in the header, and by the 'collapse' button on the top. Besides, if you have touched the scrollbar, then you would have seen this.

You can't show a scrollbar on the right hand side since it would always need to be the size of the whole earth (you can scroll up to the North Pole and down to the South Pole). That's also why there's no horizontal scrollbar.

Besides, it's Google who is responsible for their pages, not Firefox. And the page also shows the same in other browsers, like Safari and Internet Explorer.

I seem to recall that the scroll bar used to be on the right hand side and the map actually scrolled up ...

perhaps its the way the frame is rendered.... or they changed ...

I had just upgraded to 3.6 so I wasn't sure which it was ...
