Firefox seems to create a really tiny window, that cannot be resized and doesn't have the menu enabled.

See the existence of the small tiny window...

it stays on the top left of the screen...

see? no menu, but it's there... don't be misleaded, the selected window is not "Enter A Bug"...

While writing this report, i managed to click on the window. Initially with no result, except making the window/line disappear, but only until i would select it again with the dock menu (even though was not visible with Exposé at this point) and make appear again.

Eventually, by clicking the lowest part of it, it expanded to the minimum dimension allowed for a window, that is as wide as the three colored buttons + gray long button and it's height is as much as to show toolbar + bookmarks bar.
I expanded it and here is the result: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/624230/firefox-bugreport/screen4.jpg
Observe the window's objects... i didn't change ANY setting, but still the addons components are slightly changed...

From this stage I could close the window and solve the situation, without quitting.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Cannot really reproduce it, I realize it occurs when I try to quit, and the session manager ask what do since there's more than one window open.

Another way I realized that it occurred was when i tried to click on the dock icon with the program already launched but without any open window. Instead of opening a new window, it would just do nothing, since a window was already open.

Problem occurring since updating to 3.6 (on Mac OS X 10.6.2) on a 15" MacBookPro5.3
Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch
Does it also occur in Safe Mode ?
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
I discovered when and why it happens: with the application closed, links from other applications will launch the program, but it will open the homepage (Google for me) and not the link, instead it opens this "null" window...

it also happens on a iMac G5 with Leopard and Firefox 3.6

this bug started in 3.6, i'm pretty sure it never happened before!
I isolated the problem and it's cause by the addon "FoxTab 1.3"

I'll report it the author.
Thanks for getting back. INVALID as not a ff bug.

I confirm this bug with Firefox 6.0.2, it has existed for several months and several versions of Firefox with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, with several friends' PC where I installed Firefox. And, sometimes, the window is not displayed at all (XP), I am obliged to restart my PC.
Pierre, this bug is caused by the FoxTab addon, version 1.3, which doesn't work on Firefox 6.0.2 at all. The latest version (1.4.4) does, and it shouldn't have this bug. So I don't think you're seeing the same thing.
