A preference for horizontal/sidebar tabs without using an extension would be nice. TreeStyleTabs and TabKit extensions do this (and more) and are fairly popular.

The basic use case is a screen > 1024 and < 2560 horizontal pixels: an abundance of horizontal space (and less vertical, though one can never have enough of that), but not so much that side by side browsers (or other program) is ideal, even if it were as easy as maximizing the browser window.

Vertical/sidebar tabs maximize vertical space, makes horizontal width of content window reasonable, and permits visibility of more tabs than when tabs are on top.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Firefox
2. Be annoyed that tabs on sidebar not available
3. Hope that TreeStyleTabs has updated to current (I like to use pre-releases) Firefox version
4. Install TreeStyleTabs if compatible, or back to 2.
