If text is dragged over the location bar or search bar a cursor is displayed a the current mouse pointer position.

This has become invalid since current Firefox builds replace the whole content (while older builds have inserted at the caret position as far as I remember).

Reproducible: Always



Expected Results:  
The whole "old" text string which will be replaced after releasing the mouse button should be selected/highlighted in order to indicate that it will be replaced completely.

You can also try to reproduce in Firefox 4 Beta 8 or later, there are many improvements in the new version, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.

I still see the bug using Firefox 3.6.13 Linux.
