Mozilla does support mouse events.
The code shown in the textarea of http://www.javascriptfreecode.com/54.htm#%C2%A9 seems to use ancient APIs meant for Internet Explorer and/or Netscape 4.
Btw, when filing bugs it helps a lot if *minimal* testcase is attached
using "Add an attachment".
