546885 - Plugin Check Problem. Installed latest plugin and the plugin check says it's Out of Date

I installed the newest shocwave player from the adobe site (Adobe Shockwave Player version 11.5.6.606 ). When i go to addons, then plugins, the find updates, even with the latest plugins there are a number of plugins that firefox will not find. and the problem i see is that evem that the plugin check page tells me to install the latest shocwave player, even after installation, it still says out of date.

i have other plugins installed to, the adobe one and many others but firefox would not recognise them on the plugin check page.

Does it tell you to install the latest shockwaver player or the latest flash player ?

You can see all the plugins that Firefox found on your hdd if you type "about:plugins" as URL without the "".

the shocwave. and after i install the latest one from the adobe site it still out of date.

i know about:plugins but it would b nice for others u don't really know the structure of all those files to see what plugin is installed and what not. i have even office live add-in, the latest acrobat and on the check page they do not show. 

it;s about the principle of being there. if that page helps us see if the plugins are installd or not then the page should work, but there is a bug
