I switched off the sidebar from View menu and then searched for something at
Netscape. The sidebar reappears. Is this expected behaviour? It can be very
annoying for smaller resolution cases.

Noticed this on todays branch build with id. 2000092909
yes, this is expected behaviour (according to specs).
Status: NEW → RESOLVED

Resolution: --- → INVALID
vrfy invalid, you can turn this behavior off in prefs though
