This bug will track progress of opentochoice.org's content translation into Spanish. For details, please see bug 546713 comment 20. I created the following spreadsheet to track progress of the content translation: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tl82CrQAScbQcFLEA7FhnMQ&output=html Please log in to the production site's admin panel at https://opentochoice.org/wp-admin/edit.php and start translating by clicking the small "+" signs next to each post. Please _do not_ assign any categories nor tags for now. This update has about 1,500 words of new content. Please let us know if you think you will be able to work on it before Tuesday, March 2. Feel free to comment in this bug anytime you finish working on a post. I'll update the spreadsheet then. Thanks!
Staś, I'm unable to log in on the production site with my credentials, could you check if the users got imported correctly?
Should be OK now.
Except the press articles with just images, Spanish is done, although we will need a way to change all link in the articles to point to the Spanish ones and the same for all the images used. How or who is going to handle this?
Nukeador: I commented in bug 546713 comment 29 with an answer, so that everybody sees it. Here's a c&p: For links to posts you can: * go to the Edit view of the post in your language and see what the "slug" (permalink) is and use that, or * use the English slug but with your locale code in the permalink. So for example, these URLs are the same: http://opentochoice.org/es/2010/02/la-eleccion-del-navegador-web-importa/ http://opentochoice.org/es/la-eleccion-del-navegador-web-importa/ http://opentochoice.org/es/web-browser-choice-matters/ (note /es/) For categories (browsers (previously "about browser choice"), the facts, get involved, press centre, contact us and learn more), it's best to use the English slug with your locale, for example: http://opentochoice.org/es/category/browsers http://opentochoice.org/es/category/the-facts http://opentochoice.org/es/category/get-involved http://opentochoice.org/es/category/press-centre http://opentochoice.org/es/category/contact-us http://opentochoice.org/es/category/learn-more HTH, stas
Stas, i see on the spreadsheet some items that we already have translated. Also i have a problem with saving the article "Add a banner to your blog" in spanish (i don´t know if appears to you as translated). BTW Only to confirm: the items on the press centre category that are listed as "Sidebar" are the same as the strings, right?? Cheers
I'll go throught the spreadsheet and update it in a moment. Yes, you're correct about the "sidebar" posts. The posts body will be displayed under the string translated in WPML.
We have all the content translated, haven't we?
Looks like it! :) Want to mark as fixed?
Please, wait for Nukeador to verify it ;)
Yes, it's done.
