User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; da; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100202 Firefox/3.5.8 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux armv7l; en-US; rv:1.9.2.1) Gecko/20100126 Firefox/3.6.1 Fennec/1.0.0

Working in a company where we adapt content for the devices we miss that Fennec will identify the device it is running on (other than operating system and processor). We can adapt the web pages better and also the content we offer in the browser as well as for running outside the browser, e.g. applications, audio/video and so on.

Traditional mobile browsers from the mobile vendors identify the device using UAprof (x-wap-profile header). Other newer browsers and proxies like Fennec do not adhere to this standard. However, some of these indicate the original requesting device, for instance by including another user-agent header (e.g. x-operamini-phone-ua, x-original-user-agent, x-mobile-ua, x-device-user-agent).

Currently the number of mobile devices running Fennec and thus the fragmentation is limited, but as the fragmentation rises we will not be able to deliver a good experience on Fennec.
