The testcase instructs to restart Thunderbird, and expects that this will immediately delete messages over the number set. However, per bug 479207 comment #9, the correct methodology would probably set mail.purge.min_delay to a low number, such as 1, and wait for the proper amount of time to elapse before checking. I'm working on new wording right now, and should be done soon. [I believe this is the right place to put testcase bugs; feel free to move this around if it's not, though.]
Disabled testcase 5715, which is an exact copy in another group, and added the other group to this testcase. Running through the revised testcase now, before publishing.
