Steps to reproduce:
1) have mail up
2) Click on new msg
3) Address to yourself
4) drag and drop from the file manager a local document that has reference to a
local image
5) send msg
6) click back on the mail window
somewhere within steps 5 & 6 it should crash.
I was able to reproduce it. I'll attach the stack trace.

Yesterday's branch build, I noticed the message does get sent and arrives
intact.
