But when I click in other .torrent file, Firefox continuous to open the "opening" dialog with "Do this automatically" checked! Reproducible: Always
example link ? This could be normal if the server sends a content-disposition:attachment header
How can I see this?
Look at the http headers, you can put the URL in http://web-sniffer.net for example to see the headers. A content-disposition:attachment in the headers means that the server wants that the client (Firefox in this case) shows a file save as and doesn't do it automatically.
Thanks, it's very useful that web, I didn't know it! Yes, that was the problem: "Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=" Please, one question more: what would be the correct content-disposition? Note: I can't change the status of this bug to "invalid"!
there should not be a content-disposition:attachment at all.

I have this same problem but with files in Excel and MS Word. What could be the reason that despite checking the box "Do this automatically for files like this from now on" and the fact that in Tools/Options/Applications I have it set up that Excel and Word files should be opened with Excel and Word I always get the pop up window asking me what application to use? It happens on every file I open.
