SeaMonkey mail uses disablehistory="true" on its browser element. This used to disable both session and global history, both recording and link colouring. As of bug 461199, visited links are now coloured.
Note that the MDC article for browser for some reason has the content of the autocomplete article's disablehistory attribute.

So is the fact that coloring happens a problem? Or is it just not necessarily expected?

Actually I've got used to it. Feel free to dup this against that other disablehistory bug that I saw floating around somewhere.

I can't find another disablehistory bug, but based on comment 3 and the fact this is the only report I saw, I'm prone to say we don't seem to care.
