When a New Event dialog is opened, it always defaults to a one hour timed event. For some calendars, this default is not necessarily the most useful. For example, for a "Birthdays" calendar, it would be more convenient if the default option on that calendar was for all New Events to default to All Day. Another example may be some calendar on which the majority of events will be two hours in length. On this one, the default event would be two hours in length.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new event.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
The dialog contains a blank event with the time set to a one hour window starting from the start of the next hour. If the start time is changed, the end time remains an hour ahead unless it is changed independently. If the event is an All Day one, this has to be selected.
Expected Results:
The actual results are not completely undesirable, but it would be nice if the settings for an individual calendar included the option to override the default in favour of one which more logically suited the purpose of the calendar.
