in bug 469555 comment 10, kaie notes: You have a bug when deleting a cert. I used the "people" tab. I typed a search string, until the list showed one single cert, only. I deleted that cert. I now expected the shown list to be empty, but the list showed some other non-matching cert.
this also avoids resetting the string needlessly

The patch works for me, but please make the minor changes we discussed in IRC. Please rename temp variable hint to newHint. Please add the comment in front of the statement with the bitwise XOR operator.

Comment on attachment 432718 [details] [diff] [review] update after mutation r-, please add the comments. why do you need the "value:" ? r+ if you address my requests and explain why value: prefix is necessary. (Patch worked for me when testing)
