User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox 3.6
Since upgrading to FF 3.6 on the Mac, we have noticed that all Flash videos are 1 pixel less wide than they should be. It only seems the affect the width and not the height. We first noticed this on our own websites, and then I ran a test on youtube and Yahoo! video and noticed it happening on those sites as well.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to youtube or yahoo! video (or another site that has Flash video)
2. Note the width of the Flash video and the containing box (they should be the same). For example, say the <embed> is 385px wide, and the containing box is also 385px wide.
3. In Firebug, set the background color of the containing box to red (or some other high-contrast color).
Actual Results:
You will notice a red line 1 pixel wide on the left side of the video.
Expected Results:
The red line should not show up because the Flash video should fill the entire containing box if it's the same size as the box.
We're noticing this on every site. It's particularly noticeable on sites that have a containing box with a background color/image different from the parent containing box.

After consulting with our lead designer, it appears that this affects all SWF files as well.

You can see it on http://video.nytimes.com as well if you follow the instructions above.
I can confirm that this is happening, but not to my Windows Vista install of Firefox 3.6, just my Snow Leopard install of 3.6.
Some things I've noticed with my current implementation:
It seems to be based on the browser's overall width and Flash specifically. When my browser is an even number of pixels wide, the content renders properly. When the browser is an odd number of pixels wide, it renders shifted one pixel to the right. An image targeted with identical CSS, centers properly.
Duplicate of bug 551012 -> bug 550246?
