What for? Status bar should be REMOVED, as it was showed on earlier mockups. Not to mention readability on tens of small colorful icnos with small letters on small glassed area... Pure hell.

I always thought status bar was not removed completely but simply hidden by default. As of readability, it has already came down since aero was implemented, so it won't be much difference if they provide aero glass in status bar too. Anyway, it's not the right place to discuss it. Let's just wait what would come out of this.

I filed this bug because I didn't consider the status bar at all in bug 546259. Now that I've done it, I don't think we want glass in the status bar, mostly for legibility. I'm going to fix bug 555477 instead.

I believe Opera got the status bar right. I'm someone that uses the status bar by default, though lately I've started to auto hide it and have the background transparent (which sadly isn't quite glass), being as such, it definitely shouldn't be the default grey or blue of the navigation bar.
