1. missing <domain>
2. The instructions say to disable auth for SMTP. We want to auth when
possible (RFC 4409, and allowing it to work outside the network). Did you
test that you can (get and) send mail with this setup?

With that, r=BenB

fastwebnet.it (v1)

I'm going to wait until you've fixed Ben's comments before doing the second review.

I don't have a fastweb account: I make the configuration based on post on mozillaitalia.it and configuration guide on fastweb.it

Somebody should test it before we publish it.

Ok, I'll try to find someone...

fastwebnet.it (v2)

You have EMAILLOCALPART as username, but the docs (which you cited) say EMAILADDRESS, from what I can see.

Could you please also use the v1.1 config file format from now on?
Here is an example:
https://live.mozillamessaging.com/autoconfig/v1.1/free.fr
And the docs are here:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thunderbird/Autoconfiguration#Configuration_file
http://mdn.beonex.com/en/Thunderbird/Autoconfiguration#Configuration_file

Thanks!

Aureliano, ping
Whiteboard: [top-missing-domain] tester needed → [top-missing-domain] [config] tester needed
Summary: Add fastwebnet.it → [config] Add fastwebnet.it
Whiteboard: [top-missing-domain] [config] tester needed → [top-missing-domain] tester needed
Whiteboard: [top-missing-domain] tester needed → [top-missing-domain] [config] tester needed
Component: ispdb → ISPDB Database Entries
Product: Mozilla Messaging → Webtools
The docs are inconsistent on whether they want EMAILLOCALPART or EMAILADDRESS. A useful hub page for this is http://www.fastweb.it/myfastpage/assistenza/guide-fisso/configurazioni/posta-elettronica/configura-posta-elettronica/. The Outlook 2010 instructions use EMAILADDRESS, but the Thunderbird and Mac Mail and others use EMAILLOCALPART. Since the server seems to not care and fully specifying is preferable for future-proofing, I went with EMAILADDRESS. The certs checked out, although everything is STARTTLS.
