Created attachment 435296 [details] screenshot when the window is not maximized and Larry UI is full large, if i type something and move mouse down to go to a switch to tab result, the url in the locationbar is slightly cutted.
Summary: Switch to tab text sometimes covers part of the domain → "Switch to tab" text sometimes covers part of the domain
This was confirmed during the Tab Matches Awesomebar testday
This does not only happen to the switch-to-tab results. It happens to every "long" URL in the suggestion-list which is focused with arrow key. It means the Location-Bar shows the end of the URL and no more (like in 3.6.x) the beginning of the URL ! see: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=558881 But no one confirmed it yet :-(

The issue you are reporting is that text is being truncated at the beginning (in otherwords, the URL you see in the location bar, and not the awesomebar results, starts displaying text from somewhere within the string -- not from the beginning of the string). The issue we are reporting here (as you can clearly see in the screenshot) is that Switch-To-Tab causes text to be cut off (ie. half an 'm') in the awesomebar results. So to summarize: 1. Yours deals with the Location Bar UI; This deals with the Awesomebar UI 2. Yours deals with visible text beginning not from the beginning of a string; This deals with characters being physically chopped in half in the UI
