Mozilla Sunbird incorrectly updates weekly meetings “until” date if start date was changes.

This bug is reproducible both with Mozilla Sunbird 0.9 and recent nightly Sunbird development build (1.0b2pre).


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Mozilla Sunbird and in your Home calendar create a weekly recurring meeting titled "test" started on 3/29/2010 (it’s Monday) at 11:00 AM, duration is 1 hour and "until" date is 4/26/2010. 
Result: Weekly meeting is created, first instance is on 3/29/2010 and last instance is on 4/26/2010, This is OK.

2. Opan the test meeting again and change its start date to 3/22/2010. Do not change meeting "until" date – leave it 4/25/2010.

Actual Results:  
Meeting is updated. Its start date is 2/22/2010 and until date is 4/19/2010.



Expected Results:  
Expected result: Until date doet not change – it is still 4/26/2010.

Please, note that is not reproducible for daily recurrences.

I can confirm this. Not quite sure how to handle this, what should we do for example, if the user sets the start date to after the until date (see bug 463030)?

This won't block 1.0 though, I'm happy to take a patch if someone steps up.

In Bug 566149 has been decided that the Edit dialog must keep the until date when changing the start date so marking this as duplicate.
