From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.75 [en] (Win98; U) BuildID: 2000100504 up until now mozilla still ignores anything that get filled in into the proxy automatic config interface under advanced proxy there is bug 53080 that talks about fixing automatic proxy support but as far as i can see this only goes as far as the backend. So i'm filling a new bug to get this interface finaly working. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.fill in a url for a automatic proxy config Actual Results: pref get's accepted and automatic proxy config is used Expected Results: pref get's ignored this bug depends on 53080
