Way too many web pages play annoying sounds - which I'd like to mute. On the other hand there are a few pages with videos etc. where sound is necessary. So muting Firefox on the OS level does not solve the issue.
Suggestion:
Create a "Sound-Blocker" (like the popup-blocker) which
- Auto-mutes all sounds which play without user interaction on page load.
- Has options to mute/unmute specific sites.
Reproducible: Always

Gecko can not control the sound that is coming from plugins, they play it without Gecko's control.
