User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3
Build Identifier: 3.0.4
If you subscribe to a news server that allows anonymous access, however there are individual groups that are secured with a separate username and password, you do not have the ability to enter the credentials for these groups, and thus access is denied.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install Thunderbird 3.0.4
2.Subscribe to open access newserver, browse and confirm access
3.Attempt to subscribe to groups on that same server that require a separate username and password. You will be prompted for a password, but not a username. Since only one part of the credential is correct, you will be denied access.
Actual Results:
Unable to subscribe to required newsgroups
Expected Results:
Should either have a place to enter the credentials for the group, or prompted for the username/password
