User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.23) Gecko/20100402 SeaMonkey/1.1.18 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.23) Gecko/20100402 SeaMonkey/1.1.18 Hi, it seems the indexing of mailbox files breaks once file reach over (I guess) 2GB in size. I see in the mailer window list of email but after clicking on one in the lower window should be its body displayed. But, some body of a completely different email is being rendered, often actually many emails. I believe the indexing is broken. The emails are appended fine to the file, and shutdown of seamonkey, manual removal of *.msf files and new startup of seamonkey obey temporarily the problem. I use ext3 filesystem on Gentoo linux, 2.6.33.1 kernel. The Inbox file has currently 2187655925. I saw a bug #462665 but this is not my issue. Reproducible: Always
It looks like some overflow as it shows the unwanted emails from the very beginning of the Inbox file (the oldest emails).
Resolving as incomplete as SeaMonkey 1.x isn't maintained any more. If you can reproduce with SeaMonkey 2.0.x, please reopen. If 2.0 only runs into the problem at 4GB, then that's bug 462665 and doesn't need a reopen here.
