Putting this is the startup component for the moment, s we don't have anything about update, and the actual Firefox code changes are in code loaded on startup.

Bug 538331 implemented a few ways for Firefox do perform different actions dependent on update metadata, we should take a look if we want to implement those possibilities as well - note that this doesn't mean that we need to use any of them for real, but it gives us the freedom to do so when wanted/needed.
