RelEng is switching from running reftests on the old CentOS refplatform to the Talos Rev3 Fedora 12 refplatform. Here's the failure log for the objectBoundingBox-and-fePointLight-01.svg failure. (suitable for pasting into reftest-analyzer.xhtml) It's hard to see the difference visually, but reftest-analyzer's "Circle Differences" option says that almost all of the non-white pixels are (slightly) different.
I you have both Fedora 12, a debugger and are interested in looking into this... The instance->ConvertLocation() call in nsSVGFilters.cpp should convert the x, y and z values in to x="30" y="30" z="-5" (the same as the reference). size of the rect object is (40, 20) So multiply width="40" by 0.75 and you get x="30" etc. Is this going wrong somehow?

I will soon have a couple of Fedora slaves to loan to devs. I hope this will help with this and the different reftest oranges.
I'm currently investigating this on a Fedora slave that Armen has made available.

We can't do builds on that Fedora machine (talos-r3-fed-001), since the build tools aren't there, so I transferred over my own already-built m-c debug build (from my Ubuntu x86 machine). When I run reftests with that build (in a VNC session that Armen set up), this reftest passes. (I tried running with the layout/reftests/svg/reftest.list manifest, as well as a custom manifest that included just the purportedly-broken test, and both passed.)
The reftest also passed when run alone & in the context of the entire svg directory, when I ran with the "tinderbox" versions of Firefox already on that box (both the debug version and the opt version). Here's what I did for e.g. opt build, running for full SVG directory of reftests: > cd /home/cltbld/talos-slave/mozilla-central-fedora-opt-u-reftest/build > python reftest/runreftest.py \ > --appname=firefox/firefox-bin --utility-path=bin \ > --extra-profile-file=bin/plugins --symbols-path=symbols \ > reftest/tests/layout/reftests/svg/reftest.list This yielded: > REFTEST INFO | Successful: 690 (686 pass, 4 load only) > REFTEST INFO | Unexpected: 0 (0 unexpected fail, 0 unexpected pass, 0 unexpected asserts, 0 unexpected fixed asserts, 0 failed load, 0 exception) (I'm basing the runreftest.py options off of the full version of this most recent Linux opt tinderbox log: http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showlog.cgi?log=Firefox/1273004161.1273005207.22362.gz ) I'll try a full reftest run on the opt version of Firefox (since that's what failed in comment 0), and if that passes this test, I'm kicking this back to Armen / RelEng with the assumption that the test has magically become fixed since comment 0. (Armen, let me know if you've recently confirmed this failure, with some different reftest invocation.)

Thanks dholbert! From my side I have all that I needed.
Despite temporarily agreeing with the idea of morphing this bug into an intermittent orange, once I started looking at what the morph would involve (unccing armenzg, who was only interested in it because it blocked making them visible, no longer blocking bug 560882, because it did block that as a permaorange, but doesn't as a randomorange), I realized that was the wrong thing to do. Filed bug 584624 for the intermittent failures.
