Since web pages are a moving target with content and markup changing over time, Pascal will follow up here with the status quo on that.

Hello, 

As Maithili was missing quite a few files in our repo, I've added them and enabled Maithilia pages on development website in revisions r100470/r100471. 

To release Firefox in Maithili, we need a way to promote it. We do that via http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/ web pages. There's a set of pages that are essential to having a successful Firefox localization and promotion, and those depend on the files listed below.

I have just enabled Maithili pages on mozilla.org, and development version of the website, which you should use for checking your changes, is at http://www-dev.allizom.org/mai/firefox/ and is updated every 15 minutes. So, when you're translating, finish a file, commit changes, wait ~15 minutes, and then check aforementioned URL to see what will that look like on the website.

All the files I added can then be found on Mozilla's SVN server, and they will be added in your locale folder in webdashboard bug. Files that need to be translated are, namely:

    /firefox/index.html
    /firefox/4/firstrun/index.html
    /firefox/4/firstrun/fallback.inc.html
    /included/l10n/snippets.lang
    /includes/l10n/main.lang
    /includes/l10n/newsletter.lang
    /includes/l10n/download.lang
    /download/index.html
    /download/content.inc.html
    /plugincheck/index.html
    /plugincheck/content.inc.html
    /firefox/channel/index.html
    /firefox/channel/content.inc.html 

Besides those, it would be nice to following page(s) translated:

    /about/ 

but it's not required. Also, the "Getting Started" bug deals with

    /firefox/central/ 

The Maithili team will be driving this bug to completion.

Rajesh, the mai community should translate all the .lang files necessary for mozilla.org, that's about 170 strings currently:
http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/mai/

These strings are used for key pages such as the download pages but also in general to support the various templates needed to display pages on mozilla.org.

You are now down to 43 strings needed:

In particular, you should translate the file firefoxtesting.lang (that's bug 727046) which is the download page for the beta and snippets.lang which contains a bunch of promotionnal texts that appear on about:home

The translation you have provided so far look good, ex:

We could do  push to production of these pages as soon as you have translated firefoxtesting.lang
