I'm working with build 2000101014 M18 Win32

There is no scrollbar in the chat pane.  However, there is one in the user list.

Very difficult to keep up with conversations when missing a scrollbar.  Kind of
necessary on IRC.

I'll look into it, as a temporary workaround, do the pgup/pgdn keys still work?

I don't remember but I know that using the mouse to drag select to the end 
works.
Ahh.... Timeless, that's what you meant last night.  Sorry, I missed that 
yesterday.

In response to Robert, yes pgup/pgdn and arrow up/dn work.

The issue, however is that scrollbars don't appear when they should.

If the problem is that, in order for chatzilla to write content to the screen, 
it adds it by using document.write(), then take a look at bug 55334 and bug 
53683, both of which deal with scrollbars not being created for javascript 
generated content.
