(Keywords: regression)
Seen while running Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100421 Minefield/3.7a5pre
Using the new flash rc 2plugin from http://labs.adobe.com/.
Version: 10.1.53.21
Shockwave Flash 10.1 r53
STR:
1. Load a youtube.com or vimeo.com video
2. Active full screen mode using the controls on the player.
Expected: I could see the video.
Actual: I see a blank white screen, followed by beachballing which usually leads to the plugin crashing in OOPP

Just tested with a clean trunk profile and I get the same results. This issue does not appear on Windows XP using the same build and flash version.

Full screen mode works fine using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100413 Firefox/3.6.4, same plugin version, same machine.
I bet this is due to a bug that we are aware of where you have hardware acceleration unchecked. Could you try the following and let me know how it works.
1)Right click on the flash content
2)choose settings
3) Click the first tab
4) If unchecked check "Enable hardware acceleration"

Charles: The issue I have is when I right click, no menu ever comes up. So at the moment I cannot adjust any of the settings. The menu comes up on the other Firefox version I have on my machine but not using trunk.
You mentioned the full screen problem is on both correct? If so please use the release Firefox and not trunk to run this test.

Charles: I updated the summary to reflect the fact this is trunk only. Full screen plays fine using Firefox 3.6.3.
Summary: [Mac] Unable to see full screen video using Shockwave Flash 10.1 r53 → [Mac] Unable to see full screen video using Shockwave Flash 10.1 r53 using trunk build

if this works with the same flash plugin on Firefox 3.6.4 and doesn't work on the trunk build, then sounds like at least part of the problem is on the gecko side.

I am not aware of any full screen bugs on Firefox 3.6.4. I agree Chris not a Flash Player bug if introduced into Mainline. It would be good to know if it happens with the current shipping player 10.0.45.2.

The full screen issue is not evident using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100426 Minefield/3.7a5pre and the r45 flash plugin. I can check to see if it happened with the first RC candidate on labs.adobe.com.

Using the latest RC4 - Shockwave Flash Version: 10.1.53.38 I see the same thing on the trunk - full screen does not work. Using FF 3.6.4 the videos play fine with that version of flash.

Works for me. Able to see the videos in full screen mode.

Marcia, or anyone who's seeing this bug, could we get a regression range for this?

Since this bug was filed and since I tested in Comment 11, a newer version of flash seems to have fixed the out of screen problem - Using Shockwave Flash Version: 10.1.53.64 I can play full screen video using the player controls with the latest Mac nightly. Resolving this as WFM.
