i am sorry that to tell you this problem, as an update of yahoo tool bar has shown a several day. However, there is no yahoo tool bar has been installed or is installed. so, an update of yahoo tool bar appeared is not make sense. thanks for your attention.

Can you see the toolbar in Tools->Add-ons->Extensions now ? Was there one before ?

If the answer is both times "no", then there is no Yahoo toolbar and there never was. Are you sure you saw a message claiming that it's trying to update the Yahoo toolbar ? Maybe it was a fake message (not originating from Firefox) ?

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
