When I change the default font, updated font setting is applied to toolbar, status bar, and context menu.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Content -> Fonts & Colors -> Advanced
2. Select Fonts for "Japanese"
3. Select Proportional to "Serif"
4. Open new window
Actual Results:
Selected Serif font (Hiragino Mincho Pro by default) is applied to toolbar, status bar, and context menu for Japanese characters.

English characters seems to keep default font

Expected Results:
Keep system default font

Both trunk and 3.6.3 have this issue.

I have not seen this issue on Linux. So I suppose this is MacOS X specific.
Is this a regression from 3.5 or 3.6?
3.5.9 on MacOS X 10.6.3 don't have this bug.
As you can see, tab bar is also affected.
Summary: Default font setting is applied to toolbar, status bar, and context menu → Default font setting is applied to toolbar, tab bar,, status bar, and context menu

Perhaps there's a problem with system fonts being unable to round-trip correctly? If somehow the system font that we detect becomes incorrect somewhere, we might end up falling back to the defaults when we're supposed to be using system fonts.

It might be interesting to see what the computed style of the font-family property (and maybe other font-* properties) of the incorrectly styled elements is. That can be seen in DOM Inspector or Firebug.
