With real flags, we get mails sent to the e.g. seamonkey-council mailing list on any value change to those flags that group manages. With that, we can swiftly react to those, esp. at times when we're preparing for a release and people request blocking or such. It would be nice if the custom field "flags" would also be able to have that functionality.
