In trying to get mochitest up and running on fennec e10s, I found that mochi.test was not resolving, nor anything else in the PAC. Upon further investigation (using about:config) I found that other preferences we set are not showing up in about:config.
This is with a custom profile and a user.js file that hosts all these mochitest specific settings.

i was able to add a new pref to my user.js file and it was read in by fennec/e10s.

./fennec -profile profile_x
also worked.

So does this lead us to believe that the preferences are *there* but aren't accessible by about: config? That seems like an unusual bug.
