It would be nice to be able to add custom headers to messages. This would allow new headers to be added very easily, to add e.g., fortunes to messages, to add custom or unsupported mail headers to messages, etc. But the reason I want it is reference this message on a mailing list: "Matthew Brealey wrote: <rant agreed with but deleted for the sake of brevity> People who hate Outlook as much as you might find this page interesting. 'The Friendly Outlook Exploit' <http://www.rodos.net/outlook/> - suggestions on how to gently annoy Outlook users by adding some extra stuff to your mail headers." But several people complained they couldn't do this because Netscape messenger doesn't do custom headers.
