Details

Should be 12 rev3 minis as follows:

- 2 fed called tools-r3-fed-01/2
- 2 fed64  tools-r3-fed64-01/2
- 2 win7 tools-r3-w7-01/2
- 2 xp tools-r3-xp-01/2
- 2 leopard tools-r3-leopard-01/2
- 2 snow leopard tools-r3-snow-01/02

These should all use the latest talos ref images.
Once a talos w7_64bit image is complete we'll also want two more rev3 slaves - but since that image is not yet construction we'll hold that request till later.

Is this a req for 12 new minis?
Yes, it is.
Not sure how to get these. CC'ing Sean. I assume these need to get ordered? Not sure what the specs need to be.
Alice/Bob, how do these need to be spec'ed out?
Should match the minis that were just ordered and set up by the releng team - this is meant to be a matching system to that.
Sean, could you order these? Although from comment #1 I'm not sure if it is wise to go ahead and order 14 or just the 12.
John, how were these minis configured?
Punt back when you have data.

These should be:
    * 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    * 2GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x1GB
    * 160GB Serial ATA Drive
    * SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
    * User's Guide (English)
    * Accessory kit
jabba: once these are delivered, they should be imaged using the same refimage we used for all the recent rev3 minis. After imaging, please hand over to RelEng to get production keys removed, before handing these machines over to alice.

Note: these machines should live on the QA network, I believe, not the build network. Alice - let me know if that causes any problems for you?

Its been 3 weeks since last update - any ETA ?
John, I can see these 14 minis over on jlazaro's desk. I believe we've all been a little under water with the w764 minis, but these definitely haven't been forgotten. Apologies for the delay.
Before I start adding these to DNS/DHCP, I'll need to know if these minis will need to communicate with MPT.
jlazaro - we're still working out some of the details as to what network these machines should live on/what they should be able to access. I'll keep you up to date on our decisions there.
auto-tools would like these machines to be MPT accessible.
All machines are connected to the QA/office network.

Working on this.
Assignee: joduinn → aki
tools-r3-xp-002, tools-r3-w764-001, tools-r3-w764-002 are currently unreachable for me.

I believe the others are cleaned, but I'll doublecheck with the others before handing off.
Justin Lazaro got those for me, and I sanitized those three as well; should be able to hand off tomorrow.
I've sent Bob and Alice login info for these.
I think this portion of work is done; reopen or ping or both if that's not the case.
