Screenshopt of the two dialogs with different width
The width of the bookmarks differ depending on if you press the Bookmarks button
in the Task menu or the Bookmarks in the Personal toolbar.
Since there are some cutting of long titles the two dialogs should be the same
width.
Attached is a screenshot of how it is today.

the toplevel bookmarks menu is in a larger fontsize than the optional popup bookmarks
menu on the personal toolbar. Larger font/same exact width=less words are seen.

Why do we use "larger fontsize" in one of the dialogs?

that's a style/UI question. All of the toplevel menus have one(larger) fontsize, and all of the
popup menus share the same(smaller) fontsize. Toplevel menus are more prominent and
should be more visually distinct, the font size is part of that distinctness.
