The new addons manager shows tiny thumbnails for personas, which makes it really hard to tell what they look like. We should investigate using larger images instead.

The mockups were created, but the images sizes are still the same. I'd love for personas to get larger images, a square thumbnail doesn't show much. So I want to keep uiwanted.

So this bug is more about a wanted personas feature as the addons manager itself? If yes we should move it into the correct component.

Ryan, where are those previews located? Do you have an URL for me? Would be good to know if the previews already have that resolution and ratio and the addons manager cuts off parts on the left and right side.

This is regarding the AOM redesign (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/Projects/Extension_Manager_Redesign/design#Wallpapers_and_Themes_View)

The previews are in the AOM, I don't know what the intended cropping behavior is, but it's best to crop off the left side of the persona images. I'd at least like to see images as large as in the gallery (http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/gallery/Designer/shader), but we could go larger.

We could use the implementation from bug 553462 to at least show a larger preview. Otherwise we can leave it in this component. Thanks Ryan.

A lightbox isn't really what I was looking for. I would like bigger thumbnails, so let's leave it in this component. Thanks!
