Every once in a while, when running update scripts, I see a failure due to incorrectly formatted binary paths. Installing firefox-3.6.en-US.exe => c:\firefox\ Setting update channel to 'beta'... Binary path does not exist c:\firefox\/firefox.exe Uninstalling c:\firefox\ Removing old installation at c:\firefox\ RESULT: * => , minor, , unknown type, beta, 2010-05-18, '''FAIL''' ** ID: ** ID: ** Passed 0 :: Failed 0 :: Skipped 0 This is not reliably reproducible, but does happen from time to time. It should be noted that this does not affect the update testing we are attempting to test. It merely appears as an extra, ghost update path which fails.
Today, I saw it happen once on Windows 7. I just ran "./update_win7.sh beta minor" for 3.6.x -> 3.6.4build4 updates. When I reran the command, I did not get the error.
Due to it's unreproducibility, I'm setting this to UNCONFIRMED. I think it would be safe to resolve WORKSFORME after a few release cycles using the new scripts and not seeing this bug.
