M18 (and 17 and 16 and...) does not work against a Netscape authenticating proxy. The proxy info is correctly set in preferences->advanced->proxies however, Mozilla does not respond in any way when asked to retrieve a URL. Typing a URL in and hitting 'enter' results in no response from the browser. No error messages appear. One would expect the browser to pop up a username and password dialog, but that never happens. This feature makes mozilla unusable for me since I work for a company which uses a netscape authenticating proxy.
