This is an "umbrella" bug covering all the bugs on exported address book attributes in LDIF files. This is a "tracker" bug if one prefers. Bugs on exported attributes can be of any kind: 1. wrong values 2. attributes aren't exported at all, etc Severity is "major" because an export-import change address book content.

Given that bugs blocking this are easily queriable with ldap and export, I don't see value in keeping this bug open, do you?

Flags: needinfo?(geoff)

All bugs containing ldap or export are NOT necessarily related to this bug.

However, there's a reason that there's no point to keep this bug. This bug, as well as tens of bugs opened by me, is still unsolved. I no longer use Thunderbird anymore to read my emails and keep my address book because this product is clearly DEAD.

No. Obviously the bugs should be fixed but having another bug open about them hasn't helped get them fixed.
