User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2 See STR Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download a huge file 2. In the middle of the download, simulate a Firefox crash (e.g. kill using Task Manager) 3. Delete the 0-byte files and rename the partial downloads by removing the ".part" extension 4. Run Firefox again. Actual Results: Downloaded files are overwritten with 0-byte files, losing all the data downloaded. Expected Results: At the VERY LEAST, leave the downloaded data alone! Even better, resume the download.
Just tried it again and apparently Step 3 is not even necessary. It deletes/overwrites the files even if they’re in their original state with the .part file still called ".part".
