We have code dating from the olden days that would show a dialog if someone tried to launch Camino on an unsupported OS version. The comment says that we should have an updated version of this someday, but that's never realistically going to happen; it's likely that we will always have something that would cause launch to fail catastrophically on old versions (most likely, a linked library, but there have been other cases like the dmg not even being mountable on unsupported OS versions). Even if we wanted to go to great lengths to make it work, Gecko is very unlikely to. And it's not a good use of our time even if we could make it work. In summary: let's just rip it out.
Created attachment 448423 [details] [diff] [review] bye bye I'm not going to bother with sr here; I just want to make sure you don't care if this gets removed.
